The Design Process-- Custom Logo

Last week, Oh My Dot! won an alchemy bid request for a custom logo, banner & avatar. {Banners & avatars are sort of like storefront signs on Etsy.} I worked with a lovely gal named Myra who is an incredibly talented crochet-er. {I'm not exactly sure what to call someone who crochets, but crochet-er sounds good to me.} She told me she wanted something bright & whimsical. She said she liked owls & the color blue. I sent her a few concept samples & got her opinions of them.

She liked the second one with the owl best. We worked together to create exactly what she was looking for, which ended up looking a little something like this:

Anywhooo. On to the fun stuff! Here are some recent designs by OMD!

This is the custom logo I designed for a new etsy shop, Simply Darling. They make the *cutest* hair bows, korkers & tutu's! My husband has kindly asked that I do not put any of the aforementioned hair bows or tutu's on our son. Bummer.

These cute little flashcards are part of a set that Pearl ordered for her niece & nephew. She asked that the L & D cards were personalized with photos of Lukas & Danika. They turned out so cute! I threw in a two extra cards so "Aunt Pearl" & "Uncle Ronnie" could have their own flashcards too! :o) ***In unrelated news, these two threw the BEST Pampered Chef party I've ever attended!!! The food was simply to die for! ***

This little cutie is going on a baby shower invitation! Justine wanted to do a bear theme with brown & blue. I think the mom-to-be is going to love it! :o)

Christmas is just 74 days away! I've been designing my little fingers to the bone creating lots & lots of fun Christmas photo cards! Look for them in the shop soon! Here's one of my favorites. Perhaps I'm a bit partial though.
